Visit us at Wrocław Bridge Days, 27-29 Nov.
From 27 to 29 November, a series of seminars are proposed at the congress center of the Wrocław University of Technology, entitled WROCŁAW BRIDGE DAYS. ArcelorMittal and his partners will deliver several lectures, concerning breakthrough solutions for composite & arch bridges, with spotlight on the sustainability of the design & execution.
WROCLAW BRIDGE DAYS are one the most recognisable annual bridge event in Poland. Launched in 2005, so 2019 is the 15th Jubilee edition of this event. The aim of the scientific and technical seminars is to acquaint Polish engineers with the latest achievements in Polish and international bridge engineering as well as to document the transformations taking place in the transport infrastructure in Poland. The seminars provide an opportunity to exchange opinions on organisational, technical and legal matters concerning the changes taking place in contemporary bridge engineering
In total, in the previous 14 editions, 563 papers were published in the seminar materials, which were placed on 5350 print pages. It is therefore an important didactic and documentary material.
Contractor companies specialising in bridge engineering, manufacturers, design offices, offices supervising the construction process, as well as researchers, postgraduate students and undergraduate students are meeting there to exchange on the most recent bridge realisations.
The basic needs in the field of bridge construction have recently been largely met and now we should assess our achievements and think about the future. We should design and build bridges with greater deliberation, considering architectural, aesthetic and environmental aspects. Serious negligence occurs in this area. So, Wroclaw Bridge Days in 2019 will be held under the slogan of Bridges and the Environment.
